How Do I Go to Heaven
Through Faith in Jesus the Christ

Many people believe that going to heaven is a matter of being a good person. But is that what God says? The Bible teaches that salvation is not earned by our goodness but received through faith in Jesus Christ. Take this test to see that this is true.

The Good Person Test

1. Do you consider yourself a good person?

2. Have you ever told a lie?
Have you ever stolen something, even something small? Have you ever looked at someone with lust? (Matthew 5:27–28)

3. What does that make you?
By your own admission, you would be a liar, a thief, and an adulterer at heart.

4. If God judges you by His perfect standard, will you be innocent or guilty?
The Bible says that all liars, thieves, and the sexually immoral have broken God's holy law (Revelation 21:8).

5. What is the verdict?
The Bible says, "For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God" (Romans 3:23). Because God is holy and just, sin must be punished. On our own, we all deserve God's judgment. That judgment will send us to Hell for all eternity unless we get right with God.

6. Does it concern you that if you died tonight you would go to Hell?

The Good News

God did not leave us without hope.

Because of His great love, God sent His Son, Jesus Christ, to die on the cross in our place. We broke God's law, but Jesus took the punishment we deserved. Three days later, He rose from the dead, proving His victory over sin and death and offering eternal life to all who trust in Him.

The Bible teaches that salvation is a free gift of God's grace. When we repent—turning from our sin—and place our faith in Jesus Christ alone, God forgives our sins, gives us new life, and restores us to Himself.

"If you confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, you will be saved." — Romans 10:9
